SUMMARY:The Brain Conference on CANCER NEUROSCIENCE
DESCRIPTION:Attendance type(s): In Person \nFENS members will benefit from preferential rates \nEvent Dates: 25-28 Aug 2026 \nEarly registration and stipend applications deadline: 2 March 2026 \nRegular registration and abstract submission deadline (no further stipend applications accepted): 25 April 2026 \nExplore the rapidly emerging field of cancer neuroscience at a focused\, highly interactive Brain Conference\, chaired by the 2025 Brain Prize laureates. Engage directly with world-leading experts\, exchange ideas in depth\, and connect with peers across disciplines in a setting built for scientific discussion. \nWhy Participate\n– Distinct scientific focus: brain cancer • extracranial cancer–nervous system interactions • brain–body communication (with neuro–immune–tumour crosstalk featured) \n– Direct access to leading experts: ample time for discussion\, Q&A\, and informal exchanges \n– Intimate format (≤150 participants): easier to connect with speakers and peers \n– Early-Career Researchers spotlight: strong opportunities to present\, be seen\, and engage \n– Support available: FENS and The Brain Prize stipends to facilitate attendance \nThe Conference\nRecent discoveries of how the nervous system interacts with cancer have revolutionised our understanding of basic mechanisms in neuroscience and oncology alike. The Brain Conference on Cancer Neuroscience will unite a large group of international leaders in the field\, and cover three large topics: Brain Cancer Neuroscience\, Extracranial Cancer Neuroscience\, and Brain-Body Communication in Cancer. A special focus will be laid on emerging topics like the crosstalk between the nervous system\, immune system\, and cancer\, and how these fundamental discoveries will benefit patients. The conference will allow for ample interactions and conceptual discussions\, welcoming early\, mid and advanced career scientists from the fields of neuroscience\, cancer research\, neuromedicine\, cancer biology\, immunology\, and everybody interested in this newly established field.

SUMMARY:Annual conference BeSHG/NVHG 2026
DESCRIPTION:Annual Conference 2026\nIn 2026\, the Dutch and Belgian societies for Human Genetics will join forces for a cross-border meeting in the heart of Rotterdam. Building on the momentum of previous meetings—this year’s focus shifts toward integration and impact: how novel technologies and insights can be responsibly and effectively implemented to improve health across the lifespan. \nThis joint NVHG–BESHG meeting is organized in close collaboration with VKGL and VKGN. \nThe scientific program will highlight: \n\nArchaeogenetics – what ancient DNA teaches us about human history\, disease\, and evolution\nSuccessful Aging – genetic and biological insights into exceptional longevity\nFrom Technology to Implementation – practical pathways for introducing new genomic and data-driven tools into healthcare\nBridging Discovery and Care – ensuring that scientific breakthroughs translate into meaningful patient benefit\n\nThis joint NVHG–BESHG meeting brings together the “Lower Countries” in a unique collaboration for 2026\, offering a vibrant platform for exchange\, connection\, and inspiration across our communities. \nMark your calendars for 17–18 September 2026 at De Doelen\, Rotterdam. \nAbstract submission guidelines\nYou can choose to present your work in an oral presentation or a poster session.
